COOL NEWS! LINKING THROUGH LETTERS
This year our entire 6th grade class will be pen pals with soldiers from our very own Nebraska Army National Guard who are presently stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan for the next year. We sent 227 letters out to our soldiers the first week in October. Each letter had a teacher-addressed stamped envelope so the soldier pen pal can send it back, hopefully quickly.

ENGLISH
- Students will be learning various grammar lessons that they will apply in their daily writing.
- English assignments will be given often and may be homework.
SPELLING
- An in class assignment is given on Wednesdays to introduce the new list of words.
- Assignment worksheets are given out on Wednesdays and due the following Wednesday.
- Post tests are given on Wednesdays.
- If assignments are late, 10% is taken off the grade. If they don't turn in their assignment by the time the test is to be taken, they receive a 0% for not turning in their work.
