It is a new year at Pound. Welcome to our school! I will be posting pictures and information in the links to the left. Check it out as often as you can.

We are having fun learning about ANDRILL in science class along with our unit study on Earth's Changing Surface, so check out the ANDRILL Blog.
It's not too late to have your student join our 6th grade Science Club after school beginning next Thursday, Sept. 11. Students can pick up permission forms from me.

1. Pound Sixth Graders Recognize and Celebrate Our Nebraska Army National Guard on May 20, 2008 after a year-long pen pal project where they wrote handwritten letters to the soldiers while they were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

On Monday, November 12, 6th graders celebrated with Veterans in a Veterans Day Assembly in our auditorium which included a Military Honor Guard from the NE Army National Guard, our speaker, Lt. Col. Owen McCauley from the United States Army, and many Veterans that came and were recognized.
