Study Skills Study Hall
Rules of the Road
1.) Always bring materials to class. Be prepared to work on any and ALL of your class work.
2.) Always come to class on time.
3.) Always take care of everything you need before class. (Going to your locker, the restroom, getting a drink)
4.) Always bring your completed assignment sheet/planner to class.
5.) Always be honest with those of us who work with you.
6.) Always be kind and courteouse to those who are in class.
7.) Always try to do your best. When? Always!
8.) Always accept the consequences for not following the rules.
It is my goal to help you succeed in school. Together we can make it happen. But we must work together!
Class Structure
1.) Class with begin with a "skill" that we need to work on. For example, test taking, organization, time management, or any skill that you might need.
2.) Your assignment sheet/planner will be checked every day.
3.) Credit will be given to you for your Study Skills Study Hall based on the points that are awarded each day. You will need 70% of the points to receive a Satisfactory grade for 2.5 credits per quarter.
2 points for bringing your materials to class
2 points for completing the assignment sheet/planner
2 points for not bothering other students in class
4 points for using class time productively--See rubric below

4.) Be aware that I will be in contact with your teachers--we all want you to succeed.
5.) At the end of the class the student will tell me how many points he/she thinks he/she deserves for the class. I will record the points awarded for the day.
Effort and Achievement Rubric
Scale: 4=excellent 3=good 2=needs improvement 1=unacceptable
