English 10 "Show You Know"
Students in English 10 have several CRTs (Criteria Referenced Tests). Rather than ask my students to take more tests,
I integrated the CRT topics into their classwork. They will practice the skills several times and incorporate them into a finalized project.
Several of the topics :
•know theme
•know research
•be able to cite works correctly
•know credible sources
•know non-fiction
The English 10 students chose one of the following subjects for research, citation, persuasion, etc:
Ecology No-Bullying Good Character
The students will practice the CRT skills while developing a project that they will present to their
home elementary school. Thus, they Show You Know" while making connections with younger students, becoming good role models.
