Alyssa Watson
Hello fellow Silverhawks!
My name is Alyssa Watson and I am in my 6th year of teaching at Southwest. I teach in the Social Studies department as a US History and US Government and Politics teacher. Before becoming the Varsity coach in 2008, I coached the LSW JV team for 4 years. I have lived in Lincoln my entire life and played soccer at Lincoln Southeast. After playing intramural soccer in college I realized that soccer would always be a part of my life, even after college. I was lucky enough to get this job in my first year at Southwest and I have loved it since.
My husband and I enjoy watching all sports and traveling to watch our favorite sports teams. Our favorite teams are the Huskers of course and the Chicago Cubs and Bears! I am also the co-sponsor of Leadership Class/Student Council at SW.

Reserve Head Coach
Tanner Penrod
Coach Penrod brings over 9 years of coaching experience to the Reserve Girls Soccer team, the last three as head coach of the LSW Swimming and Diving team. As a soccer player for over 12 years Coach Penrod played on numerous club teams and at Lincoln East High School.
Coach Penrod graduated from from UNL in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education and is pursuing his Masters degree in Educational Leadership at Doane College. He is currently a social studies teacher at Lincoln Southwest.
Coach Penrod was recently married to Meg in June of 2007. During his occasional bouts of free time he enjoys watching just about every sport, playing golf, working out, vacationing in warmer climates and spending time with his friends and family.
