About Me
How 'bout them Spartans!
My name is Brian Kabourek. I am a member of the Business Department; and I also serve as an assistant coach for both Cross Country and Track & Field.
I have been associated with Lincoln East since the Spring of 1991 when I did my student teaching. After that, I worked as an office para for a couple of years, and served as an in-house substitute teacher. I taught part-time for a couple of years until the middle school left East to become Lux. I moved over to Lefler where I taught for two years, and I've been back at East since 1996.
I am originally from David City, Nebraska; and I received my bachelor's degree from Kearney State College, which is now known as UNK. I am working on my Master's program at UNL, and hope to be finished with that soon.
Although my parents still live in David City, I have two sisters, a brother-in-law, three nieces, and a nephew that live here in Lincoln.
My wife, Andrea, is a graduate of Lincoln Southeast and Wesleyen University. The two of us were marriend in Maui, Hawaii in June of 2003.
I am a HUGE sports fan. I am a devoted Husker, and I am also a loyal fan of Duke Blue Devil Basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Atlanta Braves.
The 2008-09 school year will have me teaching Economic Perspectives, Economics, A.P. Macroeconomics, A.P. Microeconomics, Career Education, and NovaNET.
I love East High School, and think the students and faculty are the best around.
GO BIG BLUE!!!
