Home to School Art Connections

All students grades K-5 are evaluated each quarter on making connections in art; Core Ability #2 is Connect with Art and Core Ability #6 is Live with Art. To support these two standards, students are encouraged to bring items from home that connect to art. Items can include: artifacts, photographs, newspaper and magazine articles, website links, etc. Artifacts must be made by someone other than the student...a parent, aunt/uncle, grandparent, sibling, neighbor. Items are welcome all year long and may be brought to either art class or technology class to be shared. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Reeker at <breeker@lps.org> or 402.436.1135.

LPS Seven Core Abilities are the art standards for the district, K-12.
