Economic Geography of Latin America

We will be learning about the economic geography of Latin American Countries. 

Task:

1.  Choose 3 countries and answer the following questions for each. 

              You will want to pay close attention to the selected websites from the Media Specialists to help    

               make your search easier.

2.  Questions:

• Name of Country:
• What is the general physical environment of this country like?  How does the environment effect the economy?
• What kinds of natural resources are available here?
• What are the major industries in this country?
• Howa re the nations finances affected by their natural resources and the industries they have?
• Who are the major trading partners for your country? Why do you think there is so much trade with this nation?
• How does the political environment affect the economy of this country?
• How might culture impact the economy?

3.  Once you have answered the above questions for each country compare the information you have discovered about each country.  Ask your self “how do the economies compare with one another?”  “Is one country better off than another and why?”  (Level of development, Economic Activities, Standard of living, opportunities for growth)

This question should be done in a reaction paper format.  There is no length just answer the question and provided reason why you answered the way you did.
