The behavior expectations are the same for grades K-5. Of course, expectations are adjusted somewhat for new students
and younger students, until they adjust to the routine of the computer lab.
Behaviors are discussed with the entire class at the beginning of each school year, and at additional times as necessary.
Also, if an individual student is not up to expectations, that student is spoken with individually.
REPORTING numbers and what they mean...
4=I never have to speak to a student about his/her behavior or attitude, and he/she is a role model for other students.
3=I occasionally have to speak to a student about his/her behavior or attitude.
2=I often have to speak to a student about his/her behavior or attitude.
1=I speak to a student every class period about his/her behavior or attitude in computer class.
General Behavior Expectations
* Respect for the teacher
* Respect for other students and the equipment in the lab
* Responsibility for one's own actions
Specific Behavior Expectations
* Has a good attitude about learning!
* Focuses on daily work!
* Completes daily assignment
* Works independently
* Gives appropriate responses to the teacher
* Listens to directions
* Uses a respectful tone of voice when responding to a teacher
* Quits at the end of the class when asked to do so
* Enters and leaves the lab quietly without running

* Walking, not running in the lab
* No elbows on the table
* Feet on the floor
* No fingers in mouth
* No rocking in the chairs
* Hands and feet to themselves
