PROJECTS: PHOTOGRAPHY TECHNIQUES
Photography Techniques is a second level photography course. Students in this class will learn advanced techniques for printing, taking photos, as well as digital techniques and methods of presenting bodies of work. They will use black and white photography on film and will learn both color and black and white photography in digital.
I am currently working on expanding our curriculum:
This class will teach new techniques in both the darkroom and in the digital lab. Projects in the Darkroom may include: double exposures, magazine prints, distortion, photo tinting, photo vibrations and collage and medium format camera work. Digital photography gets a boost this year with the purchase of Adobe Photoshop CS3. This will allow us to do projects that will go far past what we were able to experiment with before. Projects in the Digital Lab may include: distortion, multiple layering of images, High Dynamic Range imaging, Stop Motion photography, panoramas, and otheres.
This class will begin to focus on creating a way to communicate your point of view. We will work on the translation of ideas into imagery and explore the different ways to present your work.
