Select Chamber Choir
Select Chamber Choir is a mixed choir (guys & gals) that meets every other day (or ODD days for swing students) during Block 3A. Members were selected by audition in the early Spring of 2009 to be members of the ensemble during the 2009-10 school year. In this class, students are exposed to collegiate and professional level choral music. This class is geared towards students wishing to continue singing past high school. This ensemble serves as an ambassador to the Lincoln Community and is available to perform for community functions. The choir performs at 4 concerts/year and various "run-out" performances outside of school. In February 2006, Chamber Choir performed the Mozart Requiem with UNL Choruses and Orchestra. In December 2007, Chamber Choir performed on an LPS Collaborative Concert with the Lincoln Symphony and in the spring of 2009 performed on a collaborative concert in Lincoln with the Drake University Choirs. The 2009-10 Select Chamber Choir features 37 top voices.
