I was born and raised in

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Master's degree + 37 hours: Latin American Literature.
Bachelor degree: Spanish with a minor in Education.
Teaching Certificate: Spanish 7-12

I have a wide variety of experience in teaching elementary,
secondary, college, university, and continuing education students.
I began my teaching career in Venezuela
at an Adult Continuing Education School teaching Math.
I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and worked as an instructor
for the Hispanic Community Center and
Southeast Community College Resource Program.
While working on my M.A., I taught Spanish classes at
the University, Union College and College View Academy.

I worked with a federal program incorporating
language and culture into the elementary
curriculum (K-6) in several small Nebraska towns.
Also, I have taught Math in the Upward Bond Program
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and
several Summer Camps.

I worked as the director of the Salsa Summer Camp
and the Spanish Immersion Summer Camp.
I started working at Lincoln Public Schools in 2001.
I have received instruction at the College Board
Endorsed Advanced Placement Summer Institute
in topics related to teaching a course in Spanish.
I am presently at Lefler Middle School and, in the evenings at
Southeast Community College.
My interests include reading, traveling and writing poetry.
