Hi Orchestra Parents,

Just wanted to touch base with all of you as we near the end of our school year. The Orchestra students have 2 big performances coming up!

The first performance is the 5th Annual LSW Swing Night held on Friday, May 15th in the LSW Commons. Dance lessons begin at 6:15 pm and the live jazz music starts at 7:00 pm and runs until 10:30 pm. Parents are more than welcome to attend this event. The cost is $5 if you pre-order tickets or $7 at the door. If you want to reserve a seat at one of the tables, the cost is $10 per person. Kids 5 years and under are free. The event features our LSW Jazz Bands and will feature student vocal soloists and of course, our orchestra players!

In preparation for Swing Night, we have some ensembles that do not meet together during the school day so there is a need for an outside of school rehearsal. The following rehearsals are scheduled for next week:

May 11- Orchestra Rehearsal 3:15 - 5:00 pm
May 12- ALL Orchestra Strings & Jazz I- 7:15am rehearsal

In preparation for the final Instrumental Concert on Thursday, May 21st at 7:00 pm, we will need to have one more outside rehearsal.

May 18th - 3:15 - 5:00 pm

A reminder that this concert is FREE and open to the public to invite everyone you know to attend!

Please check your calendars and let me know if your son/daughter is unable to attend these important rehearsals/events.
