Boys High School
Tennis Tryouts!
Please find
below some helpful information regarding BoyÕs Tennis at Lincoln East High
School.
Date: MONDAY
AUGUST 18, 2008. Time 1:00pm
Place: East High Courts (if inclement
weather exists, East High S. Gym)
Time: 1PM on August 18th.
(all other additional times for the week of August 18-22 will be
announced at that time) All players will likely practice twice a day during the
tryout process. This will
require that you be available day and evening.
Weather permitting, the teams selection
will be completed on or before Thursday August 21.
All players must be in attendance for
the tryouts/practices in order to participate on the high school teams.
-Please check your calendars and make
arrangements to be available on these dates.
We will select
three squads; a reserve team, junior varsity team and varsity team. Each team
may have up to 10 players on their active roster. Only 9-10th graders may play
reserve tennis. 9-11th graders may play junior varsity tennis, and 9-12th
graders are eligible for varsity tennis. Seniors are not eligible for the jv or
reserve teams.
Players will be selected for teams based
on strokes, mental toughness, head to head match play, sportsmanship, and the
coaches evaluation of overall skill.

In addition to the reporting date for
tryouts, I want to emphasize the importance of the mandatory completion of the
physical forms for all student athletes. You must have a completed packet of
forms that verifies that you have completed a physical with a physician prior
to your participation on August 18th. This completed packet must be turned in to the East
High Athletic Office prior to the first day of tryouts.
You can pick up
the forms during the summer months from the East High School office. Please get
this done as soon as possible!
