RULES OF CONDUCT

To S.O.A.R. To Success

Safety, Opportunity, Attendance, and Respect and Responsibility

 Be Responsible

  • Come to class on time and prepared (textbook, planner, notebook, pen/pencil, etc.).
  • Leave all food/beverages outside of the classroom.
  • Turn off all cell phones and other electronic devices before entering the classroom.  If I see them they will be confiscated and given to an administrator in the office.
  • Be prepared:  Bring your planner, paper, pencil and/or pen. Wear your LSW lanyard and ID at all times during class.
  • Follow instructions.
  • Use class time productively for assigned tasks.
  • Handle computers, peripheral devices, equipment, books, etc. with utmost care.
  • Complete only your own work.  If found cheating, both students will receive a zero with NO opportunity to make up the assignment/test, and a referral will be written. 
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom with the exception of bottled water.
  • On all assignments write your first and last name, date, class period, and computer # where you are seated.
  • During work time assignments for this class are what you should be working on.  No other homework should be out unless you are completely done with the current assignment and do not have any past due work.
  • Do not disrupt the learning of others

 Be Respectful

  • Treat the teacher, other students, and all property within the classroom with respect
  • Listen with your eyes, ears, and body language.
  • Participate productively in classroom discussions in a respectful manner!
  • Help your neighbor as needed.
  • Language  - curse words, put downs of any kind will not be tolerated

 Be Safe

  • All behavior regulations listed in your LSW Student Handbook apply
  • No "bully" behavior or intimidation

ATTENDANCE

  • Come to class everyday, prepared and on time
  • Be in your assigned seat before the bell rings

HANDING IN WORK

  • All completed assignments (today's work and/or makeup work) should be turned in, in the wooden hand-in box in the front of the room.
  • Make sure that your name, today's date, Block #, and your computer # is on all of your work.
