People who feel that they are safe, belong, and supported learn and work more productively. Thus, we have worked on creating HCA in our classroom. Ask your child to tell you about HCA. :o)

Where are you living? Above or Below the Line?
Another tool to help us to remember to be persons of character is "The Line". We strive to behave in a way that shows above the line behaviors.
Open The Front Door & All About My Relationships
These are 2 strategies to help us to apologize and to solve our problems with others. Your child should be able to tell you how to do these two 4-step strategies. Have them try it the next time their is a conflict with a brother or a sister. It is so much better than tattling. :p)
8 Keys of Excellence
When I attended an inservice this summer called Quantum learning, I learned about the 8 Keys of Excellence. I will be teaching these keys & their meaning to the students. I will be using this vocabulary often, so your child may come home & use the vocabulary also. Ask your child what these mean & to show you each key's sign.
