This is the first ever beginning class on guitar. The goals of this new music class are:

*  Everyone will leavn to read music notation and understand    basic music theory.

*   Learn to play classical guitar style.

*  To play as a soloist or within a guitar ensemble.

Remember students - your success in class is based on the following good practices:

1) This is a music class. Listen, take notes on music theory and apply to understand.

2)  Learning to play guitar takes effort, both mental and physical.

3)  The key to success is GOOD USE OF PRACTICE TIME.

Instrument and Music Check-out:  Students may check out the music method book or instrument to take home over night to practice. You  cannot check it out until after school.

Sign the checkout sheet by the books and the checkout sheet by the instruments. Indicate book # and Instrument Name.  BOTH THE BOOK and INSTRUMENT are due back before First Period the next day.  Failure to do so will remove your checkout privileges.
