Congratulations to the 2008 All-State members.  We set a record number of students selected this year.  These students rehearsed and performed at the Nebraska Music Educators Conference at UNL on November 15 - 17.   The 2008 All-State Choir, Band, & Orchestra members are:

Congratulations to the Varsity Show Choir, “Resonance” on their superb performance at the Nebraska Music Educators Conference on November 22, 2008.   This was the 2nd time in 4 years that this ensemble has been invited to perform for this conference.  Thanks to the administration, staff, and parents for their attendance and support of these performing groups!!!


CONGRATS!!

The LSW High School Mixed Octet (student run ensembe) was selected to sing the National Anthem prior to the start of the 2008 NSAA State Football Championship Finals on Friday, November 21.  They were selected from a group of candidates who auditioned via recorded format.  They performed at the University of Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium and on NET statewide television.

London Trip Parent Meeting Highlights

We are very proud to say that our instrumental music ensembles have been invited to perform in London for a second time.  We are slated to perform in the New Year’s Day Parade on Janurary 1, 2010 in London, England.  The Marching Band and Orchestras will be making this exciting journey. 

On Monday, November 17th, we had a parent meeting about the trip.  We went over the payment schedule, trip dates, and fundraising opportunities.  If you missed the meeting, we have posted all the information on Mrs. Wilhelm’s website.  If you want to go, you can still add on.  Please visit the website below for information.  If you have questions, please email Mrs. Falcone

General Information

  • Sports schedules SILVER HAWKS BOOSTER CLUB HAS A VENDING MACHINE!  The "Palm Tree" vending machine across from the Athletic Trainer's office is a fundraiser for the Booster Club with ALL profits going back to the Booster Club.  This machine vends LIQUID SILVER which is now available in a green bottle. Get your LIQUID SILVER and support the Booster Club AND drink something good for you!
 
  • Silver Hawks Booster Club meetings take place the third Monday of every month. Athletic/Activities meetings are held in the Media Center at 6:30 p.m. with the Performing Arts being held in the Media Center Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. The Coordinated Board meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

 

PAC: Parent Advisory Council

Parent Advisory Council Meetings are held the second Monday of every month starting in September in the A118 Forum. The forum is the open area outside of the A100 classrooms located on the first floor, to the right as you enter the building. Mark these dates on your calendar and plan to attend to find out what Parent Advisory Council is all about!
