All careers require marketing skills! No matter what career you plan to pursue, you will need to be able to sell yourself, present your ideas, and convince someone of your point of view or work with customers. That's what marketing is . . . providing information to help sell products, services and ideas!
Specific opportunities in Marketing include but are not limited to:
Leadership - Develop leadership skills through local, state and international leadership conferences. Leadership conferences focus on teamwork, problem solving and self-motivation.
Social Activities - Through local chapter activities, students have the opportunity to network with students that have similar career and leadership interests.
Community Involvement - Volunteering in the school and community for causes such as the Antelope Park project, Vee's Kids, Adopt a Family and national ventures such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Career Development - Nebraska's premier event is the annual state conference. The focus is on career development through participation in business simulations, individual events and team projects. Competitive events, judged by business professionals, are designed to assess skills and knowledge needed for success in marketing, management and entrepreneurship.
