1. PUNCTUALITY
1). If tardiness is unexcused, a penalty may be imposed
2. ATTENDANCE
a. All players are expected to be in school and attend all classes unless they are excused according to school policy
1) See LNE code of conduct=3rd truancy from any class=will not participate in next contest; 4th truancy=suspended for rest of season
2) You are at LNE for an education. Your class work is always first.
a) If you need to see a teacher, do that first and bring a pass.
3.) You must be in school the entire day to attend practices or games. Exceptions: Medical appointments, school activities, prearranged absences.
b. All players are expected to be at ALL practices and games
1) If you miss a practice, excused or unexcused, you must earn back your position on your respective team. If a player is unexcused from practice, the player will sit out one entire match on the bench in street clothes. On the 2nd unexcused absence you will be removed from the team.
2.) Inform your coach personally ahead of time if you know you must miss a practice/game. It is requested of parents to call the Northeast Athletic office and leave a message for your coach if you are ill. Plan your schedule and appointments ahead of time, if at all possible, to avoid conflicts. Non-school days it is expected that the coach will be contacted in advance, at home.
3. EFFORT AND COMMITMENT
a. Make the most out of each practice. Give 100%!
b. Be responsible and trustworthy. Don’t cheat on jumps or laps. You are not only cheating yourself, but your entire team.
c. Give meaningful compliments during practice to your teammates.
d. VERBAL enthusiasm is essential for team unity and the betterment of you as a volleyball player. Get used to your own voice.
4. RESPECT
a. Show due respect to ALL coaches, school personnel, parents, teammates, opponents, and officials. Remember you are representing LNE volleyball at ALL times.
b. Players use of inappropriate language and conduct towards any person will not be tolerated.
5. TRAINING RULES
a. The use of alcohol, tobacco, steroids, or drugs (other than those prescribed by a physician), in any for is prohibited. Code of Conduct guidelines will be followed.
1.) We will not ignore the use of a substance by an athlete in our program. If the circumstance should arise that an athlete is using, they will be referred to SCIP and parents will be notified of our concerns. The well being of the athlete and their family are of the utmost importance in this situation, volleyball is not
b. Athletes must meet the eligibility requirements set by NSAA, LPS, and the LNE Code of Conduct. Each athlete signed these forms.
c. Proper rest and diet are a MUST! All athletes need plenty of water and a healthy balanced diet. Bring fruit for an after school snack before practice rather than the school vending machines.
d. Report ALL injuries to your coach, when they happen.
6. OTHER
a. Each athlete is responsible for her own equipment. Lost equipment will have a monetary value placed on it to be returned.
b. Players are expected to ride with the team on all bus trips, both to and from the games. Traveling is part of the team experience. See your coach for permission in advance due to very unusual circumstances
c. If any athlete has a problem or a question, we STRONGLY encourage them to come and talk to his coach. All of the coaches will do whatever they can do to help. We ask that this not happen right after a competition, as emotions might be high on all ends.
d. We have pride in LNE and in Volleyball, as an athlete of this program we ask that you set higher expectations for yourself than the average LNE student. You deserve it because you are ONE OF THE BEST!
