About Me
My name is Michaela Schleicher and I am a first year social studies teacher at Lincoln East High School. I graduated from UNL in May 2006 with my Bachelor's degree in secondary education social sciences. For the past year I have been a substitute teacher from Lincoln Public Schools.
First semester I will be teaching Economics and Civics D, and sponsoring Student Council.
Second semester I will be teaching Economics, Civics D, and Holocaust History, and sponsoring Student Council.
When I'm not in school, I enjoy running. About four years ago I began running to lose weight. My new hobby progressed into me competing in three half-marathons in Lincoln. Besides running, I love sports! I am an avid Husker fan and spend too much time following the different Nebraska sports. I also enjoy watching/keeping up with Atlanta Braves baseball and just about any NFL team.
In September 2005, I married my husband, Casey. He is also a UNL graduate with a master's in Horticulture.
