1. SSR Chap. 5/6 of Black Elk for 10 formative pts. Take half page Cornell Notes for 20
formative pts. so you can ask and answer quiz questions for points (30 min.)
2. MW Read the story of the “Talking Feather” and practice using it when you speak in your
group (20 min.)
3. Groups go over and decide on two best questions from Cornell Notes (10 min.)
4. Group Round Robin Quiz discussion. Stand and hold our intertribal arrow made at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation when you ask your question, you may not call on your own tribe. If your group knows the correct answer raise your hand to be called on. Question asker decides who to ask and gives them the arrow. The answerer stands, gives the answer, asker gives answer. The group who answers correctly asks one of their own questions that has not been asked yet. When our Round Robin is complete, everyone in class should have had some part in asking/answering questions about Chap. 5/6 and earns 20 formative quiz points for asking and answering correctly (30 min.)

Raise hands to be called on to give the answer. The tribal arrow given to answerer and asker takes their seat.
