Fall '09 Schedule & Changes
- Fall, 2009 tentative schedules will be mailed to students July 22.
- THE DEADLINE FOR SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS IS AUG. 14 |

- Please look at your schedule carefully. The instructions for changing schedules are printed on the back of the schedule. Because of new restrictions in building schedules, fewer schedule changes will be possible than in the past. Our priority is to provide each student with a schedule that will help him/her meet graduation and college admissions requirements AND get students into the correct classes ASAP so serious learning can begin.
- You have 3 opportunities to change your schedule:
- 1) Submit the form on the back of your schedule to the Counseling Office between August 1 and August 14, 2009
- 2) Attend the schedule change sessions assigned to your grade:
- Grade 12 August 5 8:00-11:00 and 12:00-3:00
- Grades 10-11 August 6 8:00-11;00 and 12:00-3:00
- Grade 9 August 7 8:00-11:00
- Please note that lines are long and there is often a wait on schedule change days. Please plan accordingly.
- 3) Send an email message to your counselor requesting a change by Aug. 14, 2009.

- Juniors and Seniors: Please be aware that taking fewer than 7 full classes per semester may have a negative impact on your class rank. Class Rank is determined by both weighted and total credits earned
- After August 14, ONLY the following changes will be made:
- 1. You have a class on your schedule you have already taken and for which you have received credit.
- 2. You are a graduating Senior and you are missing a class you need to graduate (remember that some classes have been scheduled second semester).
- 3. You have the same class listed twice on your schedule.
- 4. You are missing a class for one or more periods (there is no class scheduled for one or more periods during the day).
- 5. You are missing a prerequisite for a class for which you are scheduled (for example, you are scheduled for Advanced Computer Applications but you haven’t passed Computer Applications).
- NOTE: Requests to change teachers will not be made.
- ONLY STAFF-INITIATED SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER SCHOOL STARTS
- Students will receive an official copy of their schedules, on colored paper, on the first day of school. An official copy will be required for admission to class.
- Please be patient, we process hundreds of schedule changes and work as fast as we can.
- We're excited about the school year and look forward to providing a positive learning environment for all students.
