Schedule for the Pasta Feed Dinners

 

This is a schedule summary for the season. I will also send out reminders with contact information every week for the volunteers for that week.

Thank you to all who have volunteered. I think we have the rest of the pasta feeds covered now. I have the amounts for each item listed at the end of the schedule, so you can see what you are getting in for when you volunteer!

PASTA FEED SCHEDULE , VOLUNTEERS and INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Instructions:

Hosts – Let Coach know any directions to your house so that the swimmers can get there. Plan to have the spaghetti ready shortly after 5:30 since they arrive directly after swim practice. If you have special instructions for the other volunteers about dropping off their donations, please let them know.

Other contributors – Plan to drop off your contributions between 4:30 and 5:30 at the host’s house unless you make other arrangements.

 

Amounts to prepare for each category:
Host Family:  6 lbs hamburger,  2-3 really large spaghetti sauce jars
(found at Sam's), 4-5 packages of spaghetti (angel-hair cooks faster). Make a meatless sauce for the vegetarians, but don't need as much).  Putting the sauce in a large crock pot or roaster is helpful. Keeping the pasta in a roaster w/ butter helps you stay ahead. Have your child call when practice is over so you can start the pasta!
Veggies:  2-3 trays of some kind of veggies. Some have send carrots only with dip, others have sent a variety tray.
Bread: 10-12 loaves of garlic bread are needed.
Desserts:  2-3 trays of dessert. Brownies and Rice Crispy bars are popular, or M&Mcookies.
Water/Gatorade: There are about 60 kids out this year.
