"I have many times asked myself whether there can be more potent advocates of Peace upon earth through the years to come than this massed multitude of silent witnesses to the desolation of War."

George V-King of England- Viewing WWI graves at Flanders Field

IN OUR OWN WORDS

War has a profound affect on an entire population. War not only affects those on the front lines, it also affects those fighting behind the lines. War affects Mothers, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters. War affects the assembly line workers, the politician, and the teacher. War affects the Hawk and the Dove. When War is waged, for whatever reason, it leaves a mark on us all, especially when our friends and family are sacrificing their lives on the front lines.

Each of us, marked by war, has a personal story to tell. That is the purpose of this page. For those young and old to share their recollections about the impact of war and loss on their lives. More specifically though, since this is a memorial site to those who gave the last full measure of devotion, this is a place to share a memory about those who so willingly gave.

Take a moment and think about those Links who gave their lives in our nations wars. Maybe there is a family member, a close friend, or an acquaintance who you served with or even fought along side of. Tell us about that person, share your personal experiences, let us know the mark they left on you.

Or if you do not wish to share at this time just click on the link below and read some of the stories from others who remember and honor their family and friends.
