Each class has chosen a holiday to decorate for and will be given a basic pack of supplies that includes construction paper, markers, glue, and tape. In addition to this basic pack, all classes are allowed to use the rolls of colored paper in the production room. Ask Mrs. England for permission and assistance if needed. Any additional decorations, props, supplies, craft materials, etc that students would like to use are permitted as long as they do not pose a risk to others. When in doubt, check with the administration and custodial staff. Teachers will vote for the best hall based on creativity, appearance, class participation, and incorporation of North Star, Gators and school pride.

Other Rules and helpful information
1. Students can begin decorating at 3:01 pm. on Wednesday, September 9 and must be finished by 6:00 pm that night.
2. Parents and teachers CAN and are encouraged to help students with ideas, construction of decorations.
3. ONLY PAINTER'S TAPE CAN BE USED to tape items to the upper painted portion of the walls.
4. Painter's tape will be provided for each class the day of hanging decorations.
5. Regular masking tape can be used on the lower brick portion of the walls.
6. NOTHING can be hung or tied to the fire sprinklers. In addition, they cannot be covered up.
7. Latex balloons ARE NOT allowed.
8. Mylar balloons are permitted.
9. ALL messes, trash, and scraps must be cleaned up at the end of the decorating time.
10. ALL decorations must be removed by the end of the day, Friday, September 11. Any decorations or items that have not been removed will be thrown away by custodial staff after school on Friday, September 11.
Helpful Tips
*Remember to incorporate North Star, school spirit, and the fall sports teams and marching band in with your decorations and theme. Teachers will be looking for this when voting!
*Some examples include:
Halloween: Tick the_________, Treat the Gators! Gators players are spooktacular! Make ghost cut outs and write the names/#s of players on the ghosts.
4th of July: Proud To Be a Gator! Land of the Free, Home of the Gators! Star Spangled Gators. Cut out stars and write names/#s of players.
Valentine’s Day: We Love Our Teams! Gator players are sweet! Cut out chocolates write names/numbers of players (box of chocolates).
Aim For a Victory (cupid's arrow).
St. Patrick’s Day: At The End of Every Rainbow is a Gator Victory! Luck O’ the Gators! Gators Are as Gold as Gold. Cut out gold coins and write the names/numbers of players
