Project Fulcrum Is Here! This school year Fredstrom Elementary was chosen to participate in the program, Project Fulcrum. This is a collaborative effort between the University of Nebraska Department of Physics, the National Science Foundation and Lincoln Public Schools to promote science education. Throughout this year Resident Scientists will be spending time with Mrs. Settles to enhance students’ opportunities to learn science by increasing access to inquiry-driven experiences in content areas that satisfy national and state standards. Resident Scientist and entomologist, Tierney Brocius, has already begun participating in science classes the last few weeks and she is excited about how well the students are engaged in learning. We are fortunate and look forward to working with the scientists to improve learning.
