I’m so excited about this school year!  We have so many wonderful things planned.  In order for all of the students in our classroom community to have the best possible learning experience, I have developed a Classroom Community Behavior Plan.  It clearly outlines the community rules, as well as the positive rewards for good behavior and the consequences for poor behavior choices. This plan will allow me to guide the children in making good decisions about their behavior. 

My goal is for all students to experience a positive educational climate and extraordinary academic growth.  I know you share my goal, and I look forward to working with you for a successful school year.  Please discuss the plan with your child.    I look forward to a fantastic school year!

Our Classroom Community Behavior Plan

Class Rules:

• Follow directions.
• Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
• Do not call people names or use bad words.

Positives:

• Compliments
• Positive Signals
• Lots of smiles on Smiley Notes
• Privileges

Consequences:

• Verbal redirect
• Time out
• Miss five minutes of next recess
• Phone call home
• Visit to principal’s office

Severe disruption:  Go directly to principal’s office.
