All about Madame Lefler
BONJOUR!
I was born and raised in France (Paris) for 22 years of my life. I met my husband in 1967 in Paris and was married in 1968 in Monterey, California. We lived in California for 17 years. Our family is made of my husband, three boys (36; 33 and 28) and a daughter (24). Since February 14, 2006, my husband and I became grandparents. Her name is Elise Etiennette Lefler! We will have two more grandchildren in October.. TWINS (a boy and a girl). I have been living in the States since 1968 and in Nebraska since 1984. I love Nebraska and the seasons but I have to admit.. Cornhusker football let me cold!
I got my degree at the University of Lincoln, Nebraska: B.S. in education (Highest distinction in 1987. Currently, I am 10 hours away from a Masters degree. My endorsements are French and History. Teaching is one of my passions! I have been enjoying teaching since 1989 and every year is not only a joy and a blessing but a learning experience in which both my students and I grow and appreciate each other. 2008-2009 WILL BE ANOTHER GOOD YEAR! BIENVENUE A TOUS! (Welcome all!)
My goals for my students are as followed:
1. To be successful and feel confident they can learn French through their hard work and practice.
2. To acquire four years of language so that in college they will be able to graduate without extra expenses ((Students are required to have four years of world language to graduate from college!!!)
3. To be successful in college placement test and access higher division French classes.
4. AP French should be offered in 2009-2010
My goals for my parents are as followed:
1. TO WORK AS A TEAM! Without your support, I have very little leverage.
2. Check my web site! In it you will have everything you wanted to know about your student's class but was afraid to ask him/her!
3. WEEKLY: Check the grade of your student I update my grade book each Friday.
4. DAILY: Check assignments on my web site (Monday through Thursday); you will also find update on upcoming quizzes and exams.
5. Communicate with me via e-mail slefler@lps.org It is the best way as I check my mail daily.
