Grading & Make-up Policy:

Turning in assignments on time is the best policy for keeping up with class and not falling behind.  However, all work from a current unit will be accepted until the last day of the unit. I will keep students current on grades by giving grade sheets.  You can ALWAYS check grades from this website.  I will update them at least once a week.

Classroom Procedures:

•Follow directions the first time they are given

•Be prepared for class

•Raise your hand and be recognized by the teacher before speaking

Profanity, rude or vulgar comments or actions will not be allowed

•Distracting or bothering other students will not be tolerated, since these actions interfere with learning

•Follow school rules on cell phones, STOP Cards, Tardies, etc.

•Stay in seat until bell rings

•Stay on task when “study time” is given

•Maintain a positive attitude

•HAVE FUN!

Northeast Cheating/Plagerism Policy:

1.  Students will receive due process: The teacher has a private conversation to explain what they observed and to get t he student(s) perspective about what they did.  If the teacher has reasonable belief that the student was cheating, they send the student to the office.

2.  Students receive consequences-administration assigns ISS. The student completes a brief writing assignment tied to the six pillars of character and reviews this assignment with the administrator.

3.  Teacher calls home and informs parent.

4.  Students will develop exit strategies - capstone writing experiences.

5.  Students will have the opportunity to save face- they will be expected to complete the original assignment or alternative assignment (or form of assessment), for full credit.

"NO CHEATING OR PLAGERISM WILL BE TOLERATED"
