Descriptive Writing
Descriptive writing includes words that give the reader sensory information about feelings, activities, sights, smells, sounds tastes and touch. The opening sentence of a descriptive paragraph states what is to be described. The rest of the paragraph uses action verbs, adverbs, and adjectives that tell what is happening and the shape, size, and color of what is being described.
