This site is intended to help students keep up with assignments for class and for parents to see the types of work that we do in my classes at Mickle. The curriculum outlines contain links to specific websites for additional resources.
The district has purchased a license for Atomic Learning which provides Quicktime movies of specific skills used in much of the curriculum. Please see Mrs. Searls for the home use password.

Seventh Grade Computer Connections
The seventh grade Computer Connections curriculum has been designed for 18 weeks, with students in attendance every-other day. Microsoft Office 2004 will be our main software package.
The eighth grade Computer class is 18 weeks. Students will use a variety of software including: Office 2004, PhotoShop Elements, iMovie, iPhoto, Inspiration and more. Students will also have extensive exposure to hardware devices such as scanners, still cameras and video cameras.
Publications class is a one semester class (only offered in the fall) that is responsible for putting together the school yearbook. Students will learn the basics of using a camera and scanner to obtain photos for the yearbook. They will use the software "InDesign" to create a layout for the book.
