Congratulations to RandolphÕs Gold Stars: second grader Olivia
Davis and second grade teacher Michael Johnson! They will be part of the celebration at Pershing Auditorium
on Wed., May 7th beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets to attend the banquet are available through the
Foundation for LPS for $20 each.

CANS FOR BOOKS!
The first set of cans taken to the recyclers weighed 337
pounds! Keep those (bags of) cans
coming to fill up the big can (stock trailer) on the playground. Cans should be in bags, not thrown in
loose. The competition for
recycling goes through April 30.
So, get your cans to school!
BIKE SAFETY RODEO
The Bike Safety Rodeo will be Tuesday, April 15 from 5:30-7:00
p.m. in the school parking lot.
There will be stations for safety and agility testing. All riders must have helmets to
participate. Helmets will be
available from the Health Department for sale at a discount.
Curriculum and Instruction
Grade level Instructional Conferences will be held April
15-17. Each team should have their
updated tri fold boards for reading and for math as well as be ready to answer
the questions ŅWhat are you doing for the students who have not mastered the
objectives? What are you doing for
the students who have learned?Ó.
CODE RED
LPS brochures (bright red) outlining the procedures for Code Red
incidents were sent home with students today (Friday, April 11). Please review the brochure and let Dr.
B. know if you have any questions.
We will hold a Code Red drill within the next two weeks to practice our
response to emergencies.
LPS BackPack Extra Mile Walk
People who signed up for the BackPack Extra Mile walk are reminded
that envelopes are due back to
Lisa Carpenter by April 16.
Staff Raffle
Once again we will offer a STAFF RAFFLE table at Fun Night. Please email Dr. B. before April 25th
your idea for what prize youÕll offer to the lucky winner of your prize
drawing. Examples include
breakfast in the butterfly garden with a teacher for you and a friend, a bike
ride after school, lunch with the teacher for you and a friend, etc.
Student Information
Bright Lights Crossing Guards:
Bright Lights Summer Learning Adventure needs six folks for
crossing guards. Bright Lights
will give six $75 dollar coupons for volunteers who help. ($95 tuition) Please contact the Randolph office if
you are interested in being a Bright Lights Crossing Guard and getting tuition
credit for your children to go to a Bright Lights class!
