Book Fair
The fair will run next week Mon-Thurs. 3:30-6:00, except on conference nights when we'll be open
until 8:00.
Meetings Held This Week
The Great Expectations Team met on Monday, March 3 at 8:15 in Mrs.
MahoneyÕs room. Notes were went to
staff members, and posted on the Randolph web page.
A Staff meeting was held on Tuesday, March 4 at 8:15 in the Media
Center. Lisa and Nicole presented
information about the April 26th Back Pack Extra Mile Walk to raise
funds for the Food BankÕs back pack food program now in 12 elementary schools
During ÒTechnology TimeÓ Chris Haeffner
showed staff how to use the computer, projector, and speaker set ups. Randolph
now has three of these on carts.
Trish handed out business cards with our
Randolph website info on one side and the districtÕs help desk number and web
site information. Trish showed
teachers how to access the open computer lab schedule via docushare. Trish showed teachers the link to the
Technology Notebook on the Randolph web site which was designed for teachers,
students, and families to use.
Dr. B. announced that enrollment projections for 2008-2009 show
Randolph as having 495 students.
She said we are likely to be a four section school at each grade but 5th
grade which will remain three classes.
The Randolph staffing conference is Thursday, March 13. We will likely know our final staffing
budget in April, and make more definitive plans for use of space then.
The PTA meeting was held on Tuesday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the
media center. Childcare was
provided. Thirty-five families and
six staff members attended. Dr. B.
presented information on how to do a Science Fair exhibit, and handed out the
info packets and registration forms.
The Science Fair is Tuesday, March 18. Steve Higgins talked about the spring Club Choice fundraiser,
and provided cookies and cheesecakes for treats. Stacey Prall announced plans for a student talent show to be
held on May 20. The next PTA
meeting is Tuesday, April 1st—no foolinÕ. The April 1 meeting will feature a
ÒGarden of GiftsÓ where Randolph parents will have tables with the products and
services they sell available to families.
Watch for details. The
Healthy Child Fair which was the February topic is rescheduled for Tuesday,
April 22 at 7:00 p.m. Watch for
more details.
