Randolph SchoolÕs End of the Week Notes for May 9, 2008
Celebrations!
Congratulations to Randolph Band Instructor John Scofield on being
named a recipient of the 2008 MayorÕs Art Awards. John will be receiving the Arts Education Award at a
ceremony on June 3 at the Lied Center for his work in creating and growing
PANgea, the student steel drum band.

Randolph
Artists invented the ELMER Sandwich to go along with the ELMER banner celebrating
mathematics and science and related topics.
The
ELMER sandwich is now available at the 40th and Randolph and the 48th
and O Runza locations from May 2- May 23rd.
ELMER
Math Sandwich Kids Meal = $3.19 (includes a drink—milk or soda—and
a side item—fries, mandarin oranges, or applesauce).

readers were Kdg., First, Second, and Fifth. Pam will coordinate readers and disseminate details.

studentsÕ learning, as they register.

The Technology
Planning Committee
met on Thursday, May 8 at 8:15.
Present were: Jean, Jan,
Laura, Kristin C., Lisa, Patrick, Susie, Trish, Wendy.
The
agenda included a review of hardware needs (another computer projector, another
TV capable of playing DVDs, a redistribution of TVs to levels where they are
most used, and acquiring more up to date computers), and staff development
needs (docushare specifics, Power Media Plus, using computer projectors, and
podcasting). Teachers will receive
a menu of topics to select for the August 21, 28 and Sept. 4 Accelerated Reader
workshops. Return these forms to
Jan asap.
